EuroClojure takes shape
EuroClojure 2027 is taking concrete shape. The dates are May 19–21, 2027, and the venues for the workshops, conference days, and closing gathering are now confirmed.
Wednesday's workshops will take place in the historic halls of Břevnov Monastery. The main program on Thursday and Friday will be hosted by OREA Hotel Pyramida, with its keynote hall, parallel-track rooms, technical facilities, and catering. On Friday evening, the conference will return to the monastery cellars for the closing social event.
The venues are less than two kilometers apart: four tram stops or a straightforward walk along Bělohorská. Attendees will be able to stay at the conference hotel or at Hotel Adalbert on the monastery grounds, subject to the reservation details released with ticket sales.
The program is also being shaped by the community. The first 295 mailing-list signups brought 81 suggestions, recommendations, and notes. Recurring themes include production systems, long-lived codebases, architecture, data-driven design, domain modeling, tooling, REPL workflows, frontend work, and Clojure beyond its usual runtime environments.
There is strong interest in AI, LLMs, and agentic programming without the hype: what is useful, where Clojure fits, where approaches fail, and what the new tools reveal about software work. Data-oriented topics such as Datomic, Datalog, XTDB, RDF, graph databases, and information modeling also feature prominently.
We want the conference to welcome experienced Clojurists, newcomers, people from neighboring technical communities, and those evaluating whether Clojure's way of thinking can help them build and operate reliable systems.
